Scottish Senior Men's Qualifiers and other Competitions

06 January 2015

This Friday, Ayr will host the Scottish Men's Qualifiers for the second year in recent history.

15 teams are competing for 6 places at the Finals in Hamilton.  The games start at 10.00 on Friday and continue until after lunch on Sunday.

Robert Anderson will be playing in Keith Prentice's team as they strive to retain the Trophy from last year and they will be challenged by teams skipped Mike Dick, Ken Horton, Graeme Adam and David Hardie, amongst others.

There will be some great curling on show and it would be good if a fair number of spectators could come along to watch the fun.  All the details and results can be found by following this link.

Another fifteen teams will be at Forfar in the second Qualifiers  including Billy Howat's team of Rab Clark, Andrew McQuistin and Gavin Morton.

Their results can be followed here.

Thursday sees the start of the World Financial Group Continental Cup in Calgary.

This year the competition is between Canada and Europe. Eve Muirhead and David Murdoch (including Scott Andrews) are amongst the 6 teams representing Europe.

The website is here.

Meanwhile, back in Ayr, there is an amended draw for the Province Medal next Tuesday. Here is the draw for the Ladies Fergusson Coffee Jug. And regretfully, the Addison Trophy has had to be cancelled because of a lack of entries.
