Ayr Wins Morton Trophy for 4th Time

The girls have done it again!

Another great win for Ayr in the Final of the Morton Trophy at Kirkcaldy. Having beaten Aberdeen by 2 games to 1 in the semi final, they lined up against Kinross in the final.

This was also won by 2 games to 1.

The Morton Trophy this year celebrated its 50th Year of competition and apparently this is the second time that an Ice Rink has won the Morton Trophy 4 times in a row. No one has won it 5 times - and the previous 4 times winner was also Ayr.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary, Kirkcaldy Ice Rink commissioned two special plates. One was for Kirkcaldy and the other was presented to the 50th winners, Ayr.
